The Avero Photography Digital artefact has been developing and growing over the past few weeks to become a functional online prototype. Through its reach using online platforms such as Steller, Pinterest and Wix, an audience has been successfully created. Although having a small audience the platforms have been slowly gaining more interaction with consistent uploads.
So far all 3 platforms have received some interaction. Though there has been very minimal verbal feedback through comments etc. it is seen through stellar that the audience is taking interest in the photography. The next step will be to gain feedback from friends and family to gain more advice on which direction to take the prototype.
WIX
During the ideating phase I decided to create a Wix website that will act a portfolio for all of the images I upload to Steller and Pinterest. The website/portfolio via Wix, allows access to sell digital prints of the photos without the complexity of outsourcing another company to print the photographs if the audience were seeking to purchase any photographs.
Avero Photography has been able to present 4 albums of photographs. All with minimal interactions the wix website has become more of a portfolio which is linked on all other profiles to gain a circular interactivity between platforms. Through more interaction via twitter, blog page, steller and Pinterest the interaction with the website will hopefully increase.
Pinterest similarly to wix has had minimal interactions. There are 3 collections created thus far and all sync up with those from Steller and Wix. I have created ' a follow for follow effect by having the 'Avero Photography' profile follower other pages to hopefully increase interactivity.
The pins have a promote option which I intend to explore the use of in the next stage of development and continue to follow other pages for a ‘follow for follow’ effect. Though the photographs have had more impressions then originally anticipated there is still room for growth within this platform.
Steller
Steller has been most successful in regards to the interactions received. This is the closest ive come to verbal feedback as opposed to ‘likes’ or ‘hearts’, where users have commented and I've made a true effort to respond quickly in order to gain audience interaction.
I had originally thought that steller was mainly used by other photographers and each would just share their photographs but after looking through the profiles of the audience that had interacted with the collections I had noticed majority were just users scrolling through steller viewing content rather than producing it. Thus meant the content I was curating was actually unique and fortunately not over done or mainstream.
Steller also helps you know how many people had interacted with your collection over the course of 24 and 48 hours this was a great overview as to how many people viewed the collection and did not interact but gave an idea as to the potential reach of the platform. It is also quite interesting to see that the avero photography doesn’t have many followers itself however after obsvervations from when ‘likes’ began I realised their must be social media team managing a ‘steller’ account that adds certain collections onto their page which every steller user is directed to when using the app thus having my collections reach further than anticipated.
The interactions although successful is not as great in numbers in comparison to how many people view the collection itself further feedback in the upcoming weeks from a live audience will hopefully help in determining what is needed to have this viewers interact with the collections.
InstagraM?
The platforms vary in the way they receive interactions from their audience. However taking on the minimal observations from the audience and live polls on twitter the Avero photography will soon grow into the platform Instagram to gain more interaction from viewers. Instagram will hopefully prove useful in having 4th platform which will reach a larger audience due to its large mass of users.
